I’d like to start off by saying my boyfriend, Shashwat, was way better at modeling than me and Kirsten. We felt so awkward. We didn’t know where to look or where to put our arms, the struggle was very real. My boyfriend just went for it and actually directed me on how to shoot him. He’s pretty awesome I know 😛
This is one of my favorite outfits that I’ve picked out for Shashwat and not just because I bought him that sweater ;). I love the contrast between the black sweater and the sand corduroy pants. If you look closely, you can see the faux leather detailing on the shoulders, which is the main reason why I bought it for him. I paired the outfit with these bright red shoes for a pop of color and matched it with one of his many hats. Shashwat just looks too cool for school (irony intended since we shot at Stanford).
I’ve always been secretly jealous of guy clothes. They have a ton of options and styles out there that I would love to wear if I could actually fit them! We’re definitely seeing a gender fashion crossover happen again. I’ve noticed in lots of pictures of the international fashion weeks more tailored and structured suits and dresses as well as tomboy outfits for women. I say, keep em coming!
