As a girl, we can all appreciate the days when our makeup is just on point. I love it when everything comes together and you feel like a complete boss.
In today’s society, we’re seeing more and more messages about loving yourself bare face and body (ie Colbie Cailat’s “Try”). I totally support these positive influences, but I’m not going to stop wearing makeup and doing my hair.
A majority of people think women wear makeup to impress people, but from my point of view I think that’s completely false. For me, I wear makeup because it makes me feel good. When you look good, you feel good, right? It’s not that I don’t like my face with no makeup on. In fact most days, I’m not wearing any makeup.
There are 2 main reasons why I wear makeup. 1) I’m a creative person. I like to mix and match eye shadows and lippies to see what works and what doesn’t. 2) It just makes me feel good and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not trying to impress anyone, I do it for me. I’m a confident person and I think the most important thing is to be confident in whatever you’re wearing. Makeup, no makeup it’s all about how you feel about yourself.
